Angelina's Ristorante, Tottenville

Another delicious meal at Angelina's.. We started off with the special appetizer, Whipped Bufala Ricotta, "Italian" Guacamole, toasted sliced nuts on thinly sliced toasted italian bread. WOW! The smooth ricotta together with the avocado was a blend of subtle yet powerful flavors accompanied by the slightly nutty accent all together on the light and crunchy bread. This was so great that we had to order another. Chef Marco is amazing. the pappardelle special was magnificent. It was large smotherings of pappardelle surrounded by fresh mushrooms, perfectly seared shrimp, cherry tomatoes in a light brown sauce, and mascarpone cheese,which took this dish to the top and beyond. I have to add that the service here is just impeccable, unlike any other restaurant I have been to. The waiter noticed I was wearing black pants and immediately brought over a black napkin, not to get white lint on my pants.. TOTALLY AMAZING.
